The Roaming Readers Walking Club is a group of book lovers who just love to get out in the fresh air, get some exercise, spend some time with nature, and chat about books with like-minded folks. The group does not read a book each month like a typical book club, instead, they just share what they've been reading and what they like while taking a leisurely stroll through the woods at Hoover Forest Preserve. We meet at Hoover Forest Preserve (11285 W Fox Rd, Yorkville) in the first parking lot (closest to Fox Rd - before you cross the railroad tracks) and walk from there. Weather permitting. Check with the library the day before if there is rain or excessive ice.

Join genealogy enthusiast David Frazier for our new workshop to explore your roots. Mr. Frazier will relate some of his experiences digging into his own family tree, then show us how to use online resources to find the people from our own pasts - and their stories.
