Reserve a Meeting Room

The meeting room of the Yorkville Public Library is available to support the library’s mission of nurturing a love of reading and lifelong learning, and to provide access to support and resources that will educate, entertain, inspire, inform, and foster a sense of community in all patrons. Priority for the use of the Michelle Pfister Meeting Room are as follows:

  • Library-sponsored meetings/programs
  • Educational, cultural and civic, and public information events of nonprofit organizations, whose membership includes residents of the United City of Yorkville.
  • Educational, cultural and civic, and public information events of nonprofit organizations outside of the United City of Yorkville.

Exclusions:

  • Private social functions.
  • Programs that are not suitable for the library’s physical facilities.
  • For-profit groups soliciting or selling products or services.
  • Programs not in keeping with the library’s goals and objectives would interfere with the library’s work by causing excessive noise, a safety hazard, security risk, etc.
  • Gambling, crafts, games, or other recreational activities.

For-profit groups can rent the room for $75 for the first 3 hours ($25 each additional hour). Fees must be paid prior to use by cash or check only or the reservation will be canceled.

When renting our meeting room, food and non-alcoholic beverages may be served. Please recycle and dispose of waste accordingly. A clean up fee of $25.00 will be included in the rental.

Study Rooms

The Yorkville Public Library has 3 study rooms available. 2 on the 2nd floor are Adult Study Rooms and users must be 18 or older. 1 on 1st floor for teens and adults (if upstairs rooms are occupied).

Rooms may be reserved for three hours daily.

Covered beverages and wrapped snack foods, such as chips, cookies, or candy are permitted in most areas of the library, including study rooms. Please recycle or dispose of trash appropriately. Food and drinks are not allowed at computer stations. Food that may be considered a meal, is messy, or aromatic is allowed only in the front lobby area of the library.
